Maple Leaf Green World Inc.: Corporate Update

CALGARY, ALBERTA - Maple Leaf Green World (TSX VENTURE:MGW) ("Maple Leaf" or the "Company") announces the following updates for its current medical marijuana projects.

California Medical Marijuana Project

With the utility and water lines having been laid at the site and the expectation that all necessary permits will be issued this week, all of the basic ground preparation work for the Project will have been completed. Construction and installation of the cold frames will be commenced once the building equipment and materials arrive. In addition, the planned two cold frames at the site have now been designed to include a fully automated watering and temperature control system. Management believes this new model of cold frame will shorten the growing time and enhance the quality of the marijuana plants.

Canada MMPR Application

Mr. Ivan Ross Vrána, the Company's consultant for its Canadian MMPR license, has the following observations on the results of the recent federal election: "Now, with the Liberal Party's election win and a policy platform that calls for the legalization of cannabis, the federal government has a unique opportunity to start a discussion and debate which recognizes and understands the needs of patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, scientists, pharmacists, municipalities, law enforcement agencies, licensed producers and advocates. One can hope that this new discussion will take place without the rhetoric which has plagued this health care issue for the last decade. The focus should be on creating a new system of polices and regulations which are evidence-based and responsive to the needs of Canadians." Mr. Vrána, who is also the founder of Asian Ross Consulting, has worked for the federal government for over 15 years; at the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board, Finance Canada and in various senior policy positions at Health Canada. At Health Canada he was in charge of the team that developed the policy rationale which led to the implementation of the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations ("MMPR").

The Company applied for a MMPR license in August 2014 and is currently at stage 2 of the application process. Maple Leaf has been providing supplementary information in response to questions from Health Canada on an ongoing basis for the past 12 months. The Company's most recent response to information requests from Health Canada was completed in September 2015. With the recent federal election and the Liberal Party's election platform regarding the use of marijuana, the Company believes its application should be dealt with in a more timely fashion. Accordingly, in the past 6 months, the Company has been visiting dispensaries, clinics and compassion clubs in western Canada in an effort to establish strategic partnerships to facilitate the Company's future marketing programs.
